2017-07-30 08:19 | 20-year Anniversary of OMI in Azerbaijan
This year marks the 20-year anniversary of Salzburg Medical Seminars (SMS) offered to doctors in Azerbaijan thanks to the Open Medical Institute (OMI), the Open Medical Club (OMC)-Azerbaijan and the Baku Education Information Center (BEIC). 20 years ago, the Salzburg Medical Seminars were the only possibility for local doctors to gain new medical knowledge abroad. Today, about 350 doctors have attended the Salzburg Medical Seminars on more than 30 subject areas. In addition to gaining new medical knowledge during the OMI Seminars, the Fellows benefited from making international contacts which led to collaborations and the arranging of local Satellite Symposia. Now, 10 satellite symposia have been organized in Azerbaijan in various specialties.
