Mr. Stahl studied law at the University of Vienna (Doctor of Law,1974). At the same time, he completed a two
year banking and bank management apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank AG, Frankfurt.
He received a postgraduate degree in Management and Economics at Columbia University, New York
(MBA,1977). After which he worked as investment banking professional and manager at leading international
investment banks in New York over the course of 15 years.
He returned to Austria in 1992, with an appointment to the Board of Management of Bank Gutmann AG.

PRIVATE DETAILS:

Dr. Stahl lives with his wife Nancy (US citizenship) in Vienna. Mrs. Stahl is an architect (Harvard University
BA and Rice University MArch.).
His daughter Frederica (20) completed her Matura in July 2002 at the Theresianum and is now studying at
Harvard University, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His son, Nikolaus (18), is a student at the Theresianum in
Vienna.

Dr. Stahl is a member of the Board of the American Austrian Foundation, Vienna Chapter, and a Member of
the Knickerbocker Club, New York.
