WELCOME

We are pleased to present one Seminar of the Open Medical Institute. This Salzburg Medical Seminar was held in collaboration between the Open Medical Institute, the Department of Anatomic Pathology - The Cleveland Clinic and the Clinical Institute of Pathology - Medical University Vienna, from January 28 - February 3, 2007 in Salzburg, Austria and involved faculty members from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio, USA, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, USA, the Medical University of Vienna, Austria and 20 physicians from 13 Countries in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Administered and funded by the American Austrian Foundation, the Soros Foundation – Open Society Institute, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and other donors, the Salzburg Medical Seminars had worked since 1993 to improve health care in the countries represented by updating knowledge and experience of physicians and fostering their growth as teachers and leaders in their societies. These lectures attempt to provide an up-to-date review of the latest developments and current clinical practices in Pathology.
