To facilitate the operation of programs in Austria, friends of the American Austrian Foundation founded The Salzburg Stiftung of the AAF and in 1995 the “Verein der Freunde der AAF”.
In April 2016, the Salzburg Stiftung of the AAF created the "Freundeskreis der Salzburg Stiftung der American Austrian Foundation". This fundraising initiative should attract new supporters and strengthen ties with existing benefactors.
