The Karajan Fellowship for Young Conductors
PurposeTo provide young and promising conductors from the United States the opportunity to attend rehearsals at the Salzburg Music Festival. About the ProgramThe Salzburg Festival ("Salzburger Festspiele"), founded
in August 1920 by Max Reinhard and Hugo von Hofmansthal, is the
benchmark for all festivals worldwide. During a four week period
fellows have the unique opportunity to visit selected rehearsals
and observe and study the world's leading conductors and artists
at work. The chance to observe and actually meet the maestros is
undoubtedly an unforgettable experience for any young conductor. Details

through the generosity ReportsWithin one month after completion of the fellowship, each
fellow is required to send a final report to the Executive Director,
