How To Apply
Eligibility
Qualified young conductors who have recently finished their academic studies or who are working toward graduate diplomas in conducting at top-ranking American music schools. Proficiency in English is required; working knowledge of German is desirable. Non-US citizens are welcome to apply, as long as you are a student or recent graduate of an American (music/art) program.
Application Process & Deadlines
Please submit the following documents (if possible in electronic form) to the AAF at ansbacher@americanaustrianfoundation.org along with a completed application form (see downloads). Any hard copies or DVDs should be mailed to our New York office.
- A recent photo
- Current CV, detailing educational background and conducting experience
- Two letters of recommendation
- DVD of conducting excerpts
- A one-page essay describing your objectives
Program dates are July - August 2010. The deadline for applications is March 12th, 2010. All applications should be postmarked by the deadline, and all applications submitted by email must be sent by 5pm EST on March 12th.
