How to Apply for Austrian Students
Eligibility
Austrian medical students in their final year of study.
Application Process
Each U.S. medical school has slightly different requirements, however candidates must have completed the following electives prior to starting the clinical clerkship: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics and Psychiatry.
Deadline for 2010/2011
Candidates should complete the application form (see downloads) and submit it with the required documents via post. The deadline has been extended to March 15th 2010.Dates for Fellowship
Details
The AAF matches students with the appropriate department and institution. Students must fulfill each institution’s specific requirements. The AAF provides a travel stipend only. This is paid in two installments: 50% upon receipt of a confirmed itinerary and 50% upon receipt of the final report. All other expenses are the fellow's responsibility. Fluency in English is required.
