Dr. Michael D.F. Deck is Professor of Radiology, and Associate Chairman
for Network Affairs at The New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill College
of Medicine of Cornell University in New York City.
Dr. Deck's graduated in Medicine from the University of Sydney and was
an Intern and Resident in Diagnostic Radiology at Sydney Hospital in
Sydney, Australia obtaining the Fellowship of the Royal Australian and
New Zealand College of Radiologists in 1965. He was a then fellow at
the National Hospital for Nervous Diseases at Queen Square, London where
he trained with Dr. James Bull and Dr. George duBoulay. He became a
Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists of London, and then joined
the full time Faculty at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center
where he has been for the past 32 years including 16 years as Chief
of the Division of Neuroradiology and 4 years as Acting Chairman of
the Department of Radiology.
He is a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, the
British Institute of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North
America and is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology. Dr. Deck
has been an examiner for the American Board of Radiology in Neuroradiology
for 14 years and is one of the original examiners for the CAQ in Neuroradiology.
His research interests and publications are in Neuroradiology.
