Daisy Soros Prize of the AAF for Fine Arts
1. PurposeThe Daisy Soros Prize enables talented artists from the United States currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a graduate art program to attend the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts Salzburg, Austria. This particular international experience gives art students not only the opportunity to study with well-known and respected international artists from around the world, but also the chance to immerse themselves in a program that is both rich in cultural tradition and academically challenging. Founded in 1953 by world famous painter Oskar Kokoschka,
the International Summer Academy offers an unrivalled work environment,
with work sites at the Hohensalzburg
Fortress and the Old Salt Factory on Perner Insel (Island) on
the Salzach River. 2. EligibilityCurrent graduate students from U.S. schools, or those who have

DetailsCourses vary in length from a minimum of two to a maximum of five weeks and are taught by distinguished international artists including Jacobo Borges, Xenia Hausner, the Zhou Brothers and others.Annual Program Dates: July and August BenefitsThe Fellowship covers tuition, travel expenses (up to $ 800), accommodation in student housing and a small stipend.
